Her twin, Laila is dying at the hospital and Nicola is not far behind. Everyone is stupid and led by their nads or their perfect ideal love. His open playfulness and sweet words had me melting right along with Nicola. They feed on their fear, sadness, pain, doubt and any other negative emotions and the demons are slowly killing them both.

Then there is the two stories of the other characters, Showalter is taking cues from Ward, so we get 1 definite cliffhanger, and one question, as Axel and William question is raised. At some point I was totally lost because of all the info dump.

Still, the story about Nicola and Koldo was beautiful, sweet and lovely. I will probably get the next LoTU novel in the hope that series has escaped the change in direction; the Otherworld Assassins series is a lost cause; and Angels of The Dark I am undecided about.

Still I liked beautty story. Book 2 of AotD series. It just didn’t quite work for me. He finds Nicola leaning over a very sick, almost dead Laila.

She knew something was making her feel sick, but never knew what it was, until she comes across the sexy stranger who she talks to in the elevator. If this is the author’s new direction, it will be the last book of hers I’ll ever read. I pay more, but I know what I will get for my money or at least I used to and therefore my expectations are high. She keeps saying that her next books go back to her old style, but we’ll see. He is like a contradictory Koldo. He is weird and i really wonder what’s his story - so i really hope he will get his shoalter.
