Even though I was a bit disappointed how “hickish” Keely seemed to be in her own story when in all of the other books she always seemed a bit more refined then the rest of the clan. Give us some credit. Thusly, a sham engagement is born, and hijinks ensue.

He’s sophisticated, career obsessed, with no time for fun, friends, or even family. It’s actually H who fins sex hotter with h, because he was more of upt I liked this book, and other short story about them in short rides, hero was amazing there with their kids and all Safety gang: He’s suits and wingtips to her jeans and cowboy boots, smooth jazz to her country music, and drives a Beemer to her trusty Ford truck.

I read a different book by Lorelei James that I had not read yet: I was laughing jaames some of the things Keely said to Jack and his comebacks were off the charts amusing. A Blacktop Cowboys Novel, which I happen to already have on pre-order at Amazon because I am just that impatient to get my booklover hands on it!

Finding out as the series goes on about the prior characters is not only interesting but insightful.

The McKays remind Jack of the humble upbringing he left behind, and cowgirl Keely feels she doesn’t measure up to Jack’s big-city lifestyle. Keely and Jack were on fire, in all ways. Individually, I also loved Jack and Keely. In the beginning I was afraid that the edgy bantering would die a slow death once they fell in love and acknowledged those feelings but luckily it didn’t.

All her dreams…down the toilet. I loved the interaction between these two right up until the end when Jack finally realizes what he has known all along.

That means dealing with buttoned-down, uptight Jack. Didn’t like him taking all the blame for the falling out. I loved this story.
